In December 2021 we distributed food parcels on three occasions to very needy families and a creche in Gauteng.

Uzwela Foundation delivered much needed food parcels to a family in Birch Acres and one in Jeppestown. They were very grateful to receive food parcels with essential items such as maize meal, rice, pasta, chicken, sausage, meat, milk, non-perishable and canned food, fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, tea, coffee, toiletries, female hygiene products and cleaning materials.

We delivered food parcels to 14 families (73 people) in the South Hills area (which consists of numerous council houses and apartments). 15 Children each received a gift as well as a treat packet.
The food parcels contained various essential items depending on the families’ needs such as maize meal, rice, pasta, milk, non-perishable and canned food, fresh fruit, vegetables, tea, coffee, sugar, toiletries, female hygiene products, stationery and school bags.

Uzwela Foundation returned to South Hills to deliver another food parcel to a family in need and also paid a visit to Albertina’s Creche. Albertina provides daycare to nine children from families in the area. Uzwela donated maize meal, rice, pasta and fresh vegetables. The nine children also each received a Christmas present and a treat packet.
